I actually had a reason to be in the area of the tattoo shop…I was looking at a car at a car lot only 1 block from Ray’s shop. As it turns out, I got the car and the ink on the same day. So, the car is a 2002 Mustang GT Convertible. I’m happy with the car ;-) Now, all I have to do is upgrade the car stereo. Recommendations for local car audio shops that can do high quality installations appreciated. I want the car to basically look like it has the stock stereo unless you open the trunk, and I don’t really care about replacing the head unit (although I won’t rule that out either). I’m mainly interested in replacing the speakers and putting in a couple power amps. My home stereo has somewhere in the range of 2,700 watts of *very* clean power, so no factory car stereo will *ever* satisfy me after being spoiled by the home audio gear ;-) 1 or more subwoofers, new speakers in the door panels, and power amps are what I’m sure I want. Putting it all in so that I don’t loose any more trunk space than I have to and so that the amps don’t overheat on hot summer days and so that the interior of the car looks stock are important to me (if it looks too flashy, then I would be worried about people trying to rip it off when I park the car with the top down). Of course, sound quality is also important ;-)
