It’s that time again…
Time for me to go back on diet and try to take off some of the pounds that have crept back on since the holiday season came through. It’s not too bad, I’m at about 173 or so when my ideal is around 160. But, that means going back on Atkin’s diet again. I started that (sorta) today. One of the requirements for the diet is no caffiene. I tried to go without it entirely this morning. I took a mid-morning 3 hour nap as a result. So, I just now made me a latte with a shot of regular espresso and 3 shots decaf espresso. Maybe that one shot will help me stay away long enough to mow the yard

I need to lose weight too. I’m just afraid that Atkins isn’t that healthy.

Well, I’ve tried low cal before and I *never* loose anything on that. Then I went on Atkin’s and lost a good deal, had a full blood panel and it looked good according to my physician, and generally felt better. On the other hand, Jessica can’t loose a pound on Atkin’s. So, I tend to think it’s on a person by person basis. Some people simply have bodies and metabolism that work well with Atkin’s while others don’t. You just have to try it and see. My best suggestion is this: If you like meat a lot to begin with, if you tend to go for the steak and ignore the sides, then Atkin’s could very well be for you
