I’m a software engineer, not a web designer Jim!

So, yeah, I’m a software engineer.   Have been for about 15 years now.  Went through two years of college for it, then dropped out and just did it on my own.  I work for Red Hat, Inc.  But, this is my personal page and as such has nothing to do with them.

Before software engineering there was the construction.  I started working for my father’s construction company at the age of 12.  Hold on before you call social services…I only worked during the summer months, you know, back when school’s had a summer vacation.  And I got paid.  Besides, it taught me a lot about how to work and how not to expect to be a lazy ass all your life.  But still, I did construction until after I dropped out of college.

I used to ride motorcycles until I hit a deer on mine on the way home from work.  I had to have reconstructive shoulder surgery for that accident.  You can find the records of it here in my archives.

This site is brand new and I’m importing my stuff from previous sites (like LiveJournal and my old hand built web page).  I’m hoping the archives will have reasonable dates on them, but since I’m importing stuff, the dates might get all screwed up.  So, here’s the deal.  Anything before Thursday, December 10th, 2009 will be imported.  Anything after that will be new.
